Opportunity Description

The Nederlands Filmfonds has a plan called the Realization of Short Animation scheme. This plan is to help people make animated films that are original and unique. These films are meant to be shown in cinemas to people.

The Nederlands Filmfonds thinks that short animation is a kind of art. They want to help make a range of animated films that are good, different and exciting. They want to give filmmakers and producers a chance to make their special animation projects. These projects should be interesting to people in the Netherlands and to people in other countries.

The plan is open to all kinds of animation. This means that filmmakers can use ways of making animations or new ways. They can tell their stories. Show their ideas in many different ways.

The Nederlands Filmfonds considers projects that're for people of any age. They look at projects that're realistic and projects that are more abstract.

Every year the Nederlands Filmfonds chooses some animated films to support. They pick films that they think will be popular at film festivals and also liked by people in the Netherlands. They help these films get shown to people through channels. This can include websites, special screenings and other events, like Filmpoule, Picl and cinema screenings.
