Successful Commonwealth PhD Scholars may receive a comprehensive financial package that includes:

• Approved airfare: The scholarship covers the cost of approved airfare from the scholar's home country to the UK at the beginning of the award and return travel at the end of the award.
• Full tuition fees: Approved tuition fees are covered in full for the duration of the scholarship.
• Monthly living allowance: Scholars receive a monthly stipend of £1,712, or £2,000 per month for those studying in the London metropolitan area, subject to the applicable CSC rates.
• Warm clothing allowance: Scholars may receive a warm clothing allowance where this is required.
• Study travel grant: Financial support may be available for approved academic or study-related travel within or outside the UK.
• Family allowance: Eligible scholars may receive additional financial support for accompanying family members.
• Spouse allowance: A scholar with an eligible spouse and no children may receive £313 per month for up to nine months.
