Opportunity Description
The World Health Organization (WHO) Surveillance, Monitoring and Reporting Internship 2026 is designed for talented university students and recent graduates who are interested in contributing to global public health initiatives. Successful interns will join the Surveillance, Monitoring and Reporting Team within WHO's Noncommunicable Diseases (NCD) Department at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. During the internship, participants will support one of WHO's most important global projects—the WHO NCD Country Capacity Survey. The WHO NCD Country Capacity Survey is a global assessment that helps countries evaluate their capacity to prevent and control noncommunicable diseases such as: Cardiovascular diseases Cancer Diabetes Chronic respiratory diseases Other major chronic illnesses Interns will contribute to collecting, validating, organizing, and analyzing health data submitted by WHO Member States. Their work will directly support evidence-based policymaking and help governments improve healthcare systems worldwide. This internship provides practical exposure to international public health operations, health information systems, epidemiological research, and global disease monitoring while working in one of the world's leading public health organizations.
